The Template for Offense in Revolt Worlds Explained

For all communication between players of an alliance or of several alliances, the use of the alliance forum is paramount. The forum offers the freedom of putting into writing whatever comes to mind; it is the players who decide what they take on board and what not. When it comes to defense and offense matters, though, fast reading is required. That is where templates come into the game. A template makes every post look the same and therefore easy to absorb.

Templates come in all forms and sizes. The larger an alliance or a conglomerate of alliances is, the more templates are used to keep reading time down. The two templates you can't do without in a revolt world are the ones for defense and offense. Not only do they speed up communication, they hold the player filling them in to be precise.

This post is structured into a template with explanations, an example of a filled in template, and an empty template for you to copy into your alliance forum.

The Offense Template Explained

[explanation start]
Offense Template
This is the title of your template post in the alliance forum.

Please use this template when requesting help for your conquest. If there is no template or it is incomplete, no help will be forthcoming.

Title of the post: Ocean number, claimed city name, Red Revolt time, help requested This is the title the player has to enter in his post. Use the 'New subject' button to start.
The ocean number is needed to tell other players whereabout in the map the claimed city is. The city name makes the title unique. The revolt time tells players from when to when the revolt lasts.
Time is shown in the 24 hours format 16:25:08 alliance time.
Help requested is either OLU (offensive land units), LS (light ships) or BOTH.

Copy and paste the bold text below and add the required information.

Claimed city name: City name in BBCode. This tells other players where to attack. By using BBCode its one click to get the right direction.
Player name:
Player name in BBCode. This gives other players the possibility to assess the size and expertise of the defender.
Alliance name:
Alliance name in BBCode. This allows other players to see how much clout there is behind the defender.

Red Revolt begins: The starting time of the red (or second) revolt. When the city is revolted, it first goes into the blue revolt.
CS landing time: Enter the arrival time of your colony ship.
Walls level:
This gives the defense boost the city gets. You can see the latest level of the walls of the claimed city in the revolt report.
Tower:
Answer 'yes' or 'no'. The tower gives additional strength to the defenders. You can see the tower of the claimed city in the revolt report.
Hero name and level:
The hero name is important to tell players what kind of boost the city gets from him. The level gives the strength of the boost. The player has to check all his attack reports to see if there was a hero in one of them. If none is visible, put in '?' as you don't no if the herowas out having a walk or was wounded earlier.
God:
The god determines what kind of mythical unit can be found in the city. The player has to check all his attack reports to see if there were mythicals involved to give him the god involved. If the city has Athena, chances are that there will be Pegasus present.

Assistance needed: Help is either OLU, LS, or BOTH. It depends on what the attacking player can field on his own.
Revolt report:
MUST HAVE! It is essential to include the revolt report in case you messed up with the time. People can check it here. For the revolt report, click Report in the left hand menu on your main screen, select the report from the list, press publish and then paste into the post. The player could and should put up all attack reports in a reply to his own post.
